London – A concert of choral compositions, from early music to modern days, brought to you by the Coro Euridice from Bologna with the Coro Studium Canticum from Cagliari, conducted by Pier Paolo Scattolin, Maurizio Guernieri and Stefania Pineider.
The Coro Euridice was founded in Bologna in 1873 and has recently risen to fame participating in international choir festivals and recording the highlights of their repertoire. The director and composer Maestro Pier Paolo Scattolin has led the choir since 1976, when their repertoire expanded to contemporary music. Scattolin took part in the initiative ”voices for Europe” in the year 2000 and is now artistic director of the International Choir Festival ”Citta’ di Bologna”, which takes place every two years and has featured renowned Italian and international choirs. The Coro Euridice was the official choir for the International Competition for Choir Conductors ”M. Ventre” in 2001 and 2003. In 2011 they were centrally involved in the celebrations for the 150th Anniversary of the unification of Italy.
